I also had the opportunity to design and develop all of Pet Valu's corporate and product websites. It was the highlight of my experience with this company. It was worth the 4-hour daily commute to and from work for more than a year. I still can't believe I managed to survive the daily travel!

My contract with Pet Valu extended for another 3 months and I said my farewell by mid-November 2005. Then, the following spring (April 2006), my former boss hired me as a contractor to create the Homepathcare.com website. The story with this company didn't end there, by the way. That October, I was offered to come back for a couple of months to cover for a short paternity leave. All the days in between, I continued doing freelance work with Simbis Inc. and other clients like CEF.

So far, Pet Valu hasn't knocked on my door for a year. I'm guessing that my chapter with them is finally over!    » read next
